WHAT: A parent seminar about parenting teenagers. Come and learn some of the challenges and struggles teenagers are going through and what parents can do to best support them. Learn from a trained professional in psychology and counseling.

WHO: Dr. Connie Horton serves as Pepperdine’s Vice President for Student Affairs. Connie is a licensed psychologist whose prior roles include Counseling Center Director at both Pepperdine University and Illinois Wesleyan University and tenured faculty member at Illinois State University. Dr. Horton’s Bachelor’s degree in Psychology is from Pepperdine University; her Master’s in Counseling is from Cal State Fullerton. She earned her doctorate at the University of Texas at Austin. Connie’s early research, presenting, and writing were focused on child abuse and domestic violence. More recently, she has focused on college mental health.
