Kintsugi takes a once-damaged object (a broken plate, bowl, etc.) and transforms it into something uniquely beautiful. We will take on a contemporary approach using superglue to turn what we may perceive as accidents into works of art.

In this class participants will learn how to do origami from several choices: Kusudama flower (modular), Firework (moving), or Lotus. Various colorful paper and designs will be available. All options are built from basic steps but some require more papers and assembly in order to create a more intricate and amazing final product.

In this class participants will learn how to create a balanced arrangement with various floral options. We will go over principles of compositional design, cutting and preservations techniques, and color theory. We will take a look at various floral arrangements for inspiration and discussion. Please bring a unique vase to use for your arrangement. At least 4-5 inches in height, any kind of shape is ok as long as it can hold water. Supply fee will cover flowers.
