Comfort or Cross?

The god of comfort

America’s idol

The desire for ease 

Discipleship’s rival

We want things easy

We don’t want to struggle

Avoiding all pain

We live in a bubble

We work to play

Live for vacations

Spending our energies

Improving our stations

In following Jesus

We take up our cross

Giving up comfort

is part of the cost

So we must choose 

Our comfort or the cross

I choose Calvary

All else is loss!
